Archive a session
Remove a session from the sidebar's active list, and choose what happens to a worktree it opened.
You are done with a session and want it off the sidebar's active list.
- Point at the session's row in the sidebar. An Archive control, a trash can, appears on the right.
- Press Archive.
- A session with no worktree archives immediately. A session that opened a worktree asks first, in the row's own footer. Press Keep the worktree to archive it and leave the worktree, or Remove it to delete the worktree too.
A session with no worktree that is working, or waiting on a prompt, refuses to archive outright. The row shows the refusal with a Dismiss button, since there is no worktree question underneath it.
A session with a worktree keeps its question on screen if archiving fails the same way. Its two buttons stay available to try again once the session is free.
A paired peer's session carries the same Archive control, in its own section of the sidebar. Pressing it archives the session on the machine that owns it.
See What a session leaves on disk for what removing a worktree deletes, and what a session leaves either way.
