Check for an update

Ask Turret to look for a newer version right now, rather than waiting for its own background check.

You want to know whether a newer Turret is available, without waiting for the app's own background check.

Open Settings, then the General tab.
In the Updates section, press Check for updates. The control disables and reads "Checking for updates…" while the check runs.

The section shows what the check found in place of the control, with no separate dialog or notification.

A newer version starts downloading on its own. Nothing else needs pressing until it is ready to install.
Nothing newer shows how long ago the last check finished.
A failed check shows why, next to a Retry control.
