Install the game-setup skill
Write the game-setup skill into a repository so a Game session is ready to load a binary.
You have opened a session in Game mode on a repository for the first time and want it ready to use.
- Look at the session header, above the transcript. A Game skill missing chip appears there when the repository has no game-setup skill. It reads Game skill outdated when the skill is older than the copy the running game engine ships.
- Press the chip. It opens a short note on what the skill adds.
- Press Install skill. Turret writes the skill's files into the repository and the chip goes away. An outdated skill's note offers Update skill instead.
Stop offering in the same note stops Turret offering the skill for that folder.
Game mode needs no second setup step. Once the skill is installed, the session is ready to load a binary.
The skill comes from the game engine. A newer engine can carry a newer skill, so the chip can read Game skill outdated after Update the game engine.
See Modes for what Game mode adds to a session.
