Change the release channel

Understand why there is no channel switch, and what actually decides a build's channel.

You want to move a Turret install between the stable and dev release channels.

No control switches this. The channel is not a setting: it is read from the installed build's own version number. The Updates section on the General tab only ever names it next to the current version.

Installing a build published on the other channel is what moves it. A later check then follows that build's own channel, since a check only ever looks on the channel the running build already belongs to.
